Kores drills into dollar market

Mining company Korea Resources Corp (Kores) courted dollar investors with a five year transaction this week, marking its return to the bond market after a gap of three years.

The state-owned company sold a $500m 4% 2023 bond in April 2018, but it has not been seen in the public dollar market since. Last year, the issuer made its debut in the Hong Kong dollar market, raising the equivalent of $64.27m from a private placement.
