CIE Automotive switches to ESG credit line

CIE Automotive, the Spanish automotive components company, has signed a €690m syndicated loan, with the borrower switching its main bank line to a facility linked to environmental, social and governance (ESG) measures.

Santander and UniCredit coordinated the deal, with eight banks joining in total.

The transaction is an amendment to a facility that was last amended in April 2019 to extend the maturity to 2024, according to a banker that worked on the new deal.
