Swiss bankers optimistic for autumn deals

Despite the coronavirus crisis and uncertainty about the November US election, the Swiss franc market is feeling optimistic for the second half of the year, expecting a strong run of issuance until late autumn.

“We’re feeling very positive for second half of the year,” said one Swiss-based banker. “We’re expecting a busy second half from mid-August until the end of October. Many investors and issuers want to get in before the US election.”
