Derivatives can support EU's ESG goals, says ECMI report

Derivatives stand to play a crucial role in the European Union’s green deal and transition to a low carbon economy, according to a study by the European Capital Markets Institute that was released on Thursday.

The adoption of products with an environmental, social or governance (ESG) theme in derivatives has lagged the bond and equity markets but their popularity is growing.
