Potential Air Serbia default brings new twist to EA Partners saga

Bondholders in the now infamous EA Partners notes received more bad news this week when Air Serbia, one of the lenders from the special purpose vehicles (SPVs) warned that it could default on its obligations.

In a June 3 notice to bondholders, the EA Partners I and II SPVs notified their noteholders that Air Serbia had warned it could default on the obligations. The airline blamed the economic hit it has taken from the spread of Covid-19.
