Arg gives debt guidance but default worries rise

As the initial government-imposed deadline for Argentina’s mammoth debt restructuring sailed by without a concrete offer to creditors having been put on the table, some analysts are worried that a hard default may be inevitable.

Argentina’s finance ministry finally gave some indication of its thinking regarding the structure of the restructuring, which will cover the $83bn of Argentina’s $323bn of total debt — or all its dollar bonds.
Bondholders said that the government’s latest presentation published this week did not reveal much useful detail. ...
