Veteran Daiwa syndicate head to retire

Daiwa Capital Markets Europe's co-head of syndication is set to retire in the next few months, bringing a 44 year run in syndication to an end. GlobalCapital understands his departure is not related to the recent exits from Daiwa's SSA DCM team.

Kevin O'Neill, who has worked at Daiwa for 20 years, will retire before this summer. He became syndicate head in 2016 after Christopher Brown's retirement. Before joining Daiwa, he spent 13 years at Deutsche Bank and 11 years at Credit Suisse
