German start fails to drench Schuldschein hopes

The Schuldschein market is having a quiet, Germany-focused start to the year. But Schuldschein agents are confident investor demand remains as strong as ever.

Other than one Austrian, only German borrowers have entered the Schuldschein market in 2020. While it is common for years to start with native borrowers, key arrangers have said deal pipelines only look reasonably strong.
