Cranfield University soft-sounds private placement market

Cranfield University, a UK postgraduate institute which specialises in science and engineering, is looking to raise debt through a private placement, according to two sources familiar with the situation.

HSBC is arranging the prospective transaction, according to a market source. 

Cranfield would be the first UK university to look for a private placement in 2020, but four issued PPs last year — Aberdeen, Leicester, Nottingham and York.
