Fourth university sells US PPs this year as York takes £160m

The University of York has raised £160m ($209m) to fund student accommodation via US private placements, becoming the fourth university to enter the market this year.

The £160m inflation-linked debt matures in 2064, and is sponsored by Equitix and wrapped by Assured Guaranty. S&P rated the investment at AA. Pension Insurance Corp bought the notes.
