Singapore’s Hoi Hup closes debut green loan

Singapore property developer Hoi Hup Realty has received its debut green loan of S$332.5m ($244.5m), which it will use to partially finance its acquisition of a hotel in the southeast Asian country.

Three banks provided the club loan. They were Maybank Singapore, OCBC Bank, which also acted as the green loan adviser, and United Overseas Bank.

The facility is the first green loan in southeast Asia’s hospitality industry, according to a press release on Monday.
