Utmost 'willing to wait' for funding as markets slow around UK election

Utmost International, the life assurance group which mandated leads to run investor meetings for a senior bond in mid-November, may have missed the issuance window this year as the primary market slows to a standstill around the UK's general election.

Issuance volumes in the financial institutions bond market have already cooled in the run-up to year end, as investors look to hold on to strong returns.

European issuers have also enjoyed a successful year, with the supply of subordinated and senior bonds surging year on year.
