FCA fines Tullett Prebon £15.4m

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority has fined interdealer broker Tullet Prebon £15.4m over various alleged failings, including broker conduct. The FCA claimed “lavish entertainment” and a “lack of controls” had allowed improper trading to take place.

On Friday, the FCA announced that it had fined Tullet Prebon Europe for failing to conduct its business with due skill, care and diligence, failing to have adequate risk management systems and for failing to be open and cooperative with the FCA.
