Nissan debuts in private debt, taking shelter with US private placements

Nissan has sold upwards of $600m US private placements in the first US PP deal for any Japanese car company, according to several people familiar with the situation.

Barclays and Citi were arranging the transaction from the United States, according to market sources. The deal had maturities ranging between three and six years.
