Belfius skirts negative yield with seven year senior

Belfius Bank picked a long enough maturity for its deal on Wednesday to avoid becoming the first European bank to issue senior bond at a negative yield.

Earlier this year banks shifted into longer tenors so that they could carry on producing positive yields on their covered bond issuances.
