Dutch green bond sets new landmarks

The Netherlands this week set a number of precedents in the sovereign green bond market with its highly anticipated debut deal in the format.

It became the first triple-A sovereign to issue a green bond and the first eurozone sovereign to issue its debut green bond through an auction. France, Belgium and Ireland all opted to sell their inaugural green bonds via syndication.
