Xylem signs deal as ESG loans grow US roots

Xylem has signed an $800m sustainability-linked revolving credit facility, claiming to be the first water technology company in the US to agree a deal using that structure.

The five year deal replaces Xylem’s old $600m revolver, and adds an environmental, social and governance (ESG) linked pricing mechanism where the company’s debt gets cheaper if it hits sustainability performance indicators.
