British PM announces £600m of new Masala bonds for London

Four Masala bonds, totaling £600m ($751m), are expected to be issued in London in the next three months, UK prime minister Theresa May said in a press conference during a trade visit to India this week.

“This is a vote of confidence in India’s growth story. And it’s a vote of confidence in London as the world’s leading financial centre,” May said in Delhi on Monday.
