Fitch Ratings has hired a slew of credit professionals across sectors, said Nancy Stroker, group managing director in corporate finance in New York. Tim Greening will join the agency in two weeks as a senior director and corporate generalist in Chicago from the former Bank One, while Joshua Buksbaum starts this week in high-yield business development in New York. Buksbaum joins the firm from Credit Suisse First Boston, where he worked in its credit default swap middle office, according to a former colleague. Neither Greening, Buksbaum nor Pen Pendleton, spokesman for CSFB, could be reached for additional comment by press time.
Stroker noted Fitch has also in recent months added Bill Artz, director covering financials from Banc of America Securities, and Tana Higman, associate director in property and casualty insurance ratings from CNA Financial. Artz and Higman are based in Chicago. Stroker said Fitch will continue to expand overall and in particular intends to build out its high-yield and leveraged finance analytical team. She added the agency is seeking analysts to cover autos, media and insurance sectors.
