WMG, a London-based wealth management company set up by Mehmet Dalman earlier this year, is considering launching an equity volatility fund. "I am sure we will look at equity volatility and correlation," said Dalman, who declined to say whether he has anyone to manage such a fund. Dalman, who was a member of the Commerzbank board with responsibility for investment banking until he left in October, said the group plans to run a total of eight funds and has already launched and closed a long short fund. The next two launches will be a macro fund and a quantitative global equities fund.
WMG will also offer structured products based on its funds. Dalman said Mark Richardson, who was global head of derivatives at Commerz, will be responsible for the structuring business.
