JPMorgan Expands Equity Structuring

JPMorgan is expanding its equity exotics and hybrids structuring team by hiring Daniel McNeill, equity derivatives structurer at ABN AMRO in London.

JPMorgan is expanding its equity exotics and hybrids structuring team by hiring Daniel McNeill, equity derivatives structurer at ABN AMRO in London. McNeill, who joined ABN from Citigroup at the end of last year (DW, 12/10), will join as a v.p. reporting to Lucia Pellicioli, head of equity exotics and hybrids structuring in London. McNeill was on gardening leave and could not be reached. Sarah Oppler, spokeswoman for JPMorgan, confirmed the hire and said the team is expanding, declining further comment.

JPMorgan's equity structuring capabilities are well-regarded in the market and the firm has been behind innovative structures such as equity-default swaps (DW, 6/2/03) but it was hit this year by the departure of previous structuring chief Martin Bertsch (DW, 2/14) who joined Lehman Brothers.
