IXIS Corporate & Investment Bank has transferred a pair of Tokyo staffers to Hong Kong to build up Greater China business. Fabien Labouret, Asian head of structured alternative investments and Thibault Muir, v.p. in the same group, have transferred from Tokyo to Hong Kong, to oversee the push. "These moves show how much we want to increase our presence in the Greater China market and replicate the successful business model developed in Japan," said Michel Labrousse, senior executive officer at IXIS in Hong Kong.

The transfers come after the bank established a Hong Kong office late last year (DW, 10/29), and made a slew of hires for both structuring and sales. The firm also recently added Christina Li, marketer at Standard Chartered in Hong Kong, who joins as a v.p. for fixed income derivatives and structured products marketing in the China coverage team.
