Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein has hired Olivier Charhon, a senior trader at IXIS Corporate & Investment Bank in Paris, as a director in equity exotics trading in London. Charhon, who started last Thursday, confirmed the move, declining further comment. Karine Greuzat, spokeswoman for IXIS in Paris, said the firm does not comment on personnel moves.
Louise Beeson, spokeswoman for Dresdner in London, said Charhon reports to Patrick Sciamma, head of equity exotics trading. The German firm has been looking to ramp up its structuring and complex derivatives business since April, when it created a cross-asset derivatives group and Beeson said Charhon's hire is part of this build up.
