Two credit derivative sales officials covering Iberia at Morgan Stanley have left the firm. Alvaro Pernas, head of structured product sales to the region and Manuel Muniz Morell, flow salesman, resigned on Friday. Pernas, reached on his cell, said the two departures were not connected.
Pernas said he has left to set up his own company, declining comment on the nature of the business. Muniz Morell could not be reached and it could not be determined if he has taken a new position. Both reported to reported to Rob Rooney, European head of credit sales, who declined comment. In addition, Gracia Lopez-Granados, structured saleswoman on the same desk, is considering leaving the industry. Reached on her cell, she confirmed she is contemplating a move, declining further comment.
Carlos Melville, spokesman, said the firm will be naming a replacement for the staffers shortly.
