Deutsche Bank Hires Ex-Merrill Pro For Top Credit Role

Deutsche Bank has added a former senior Merrill staffer as head of structured credit trading and distribution in London.

Deutsche Bank has tapped Moez Ben-Zid, formerly co-head of structured credit marketing at Merrill Lynch, as head of structured credit trading and distribution in London.

Stacey Coglan, spokeswoman for Deutsche Bank in London, said Ben-Zid reports to Antonio Di Flumeri, co-head of global structured credit trading and European head of credit derivatives. She was unable to say if the role was a new one. Ben-Zid did not answer calls to his desk at Deutsche Bank or to his cell phone.

Ben-Zid quit Merrill in May (DW, 5/26) and has followed in the footsteps of his former Merrill colleague Malik Chaabouni, who joined Deutsche Bank in a structured credit role in February (DW, 2/10). The pair also worked together prior to joining Merrill in early 2005 (DW, 2/18/05.)
