Tim Armstrong, a senior collateralized debt obligation official at Merrill Lynch in London, has left the firm. Buzz on the Street connects him with a similar role at Morgan Stanley. Armstrong did not return a message left on his cell and Carlos Melville, spokesman for Morgan Stanley, did not return a call by press time. The move would mirror that of Susan Green, a former director in synthetic CDOs at Merrill, who joined Morgan Stanley in the spring (DW, 3/7).
Separately, Merrill Lynch also last month lost Zuzana Slaninkova, a structured credit marketer to Scandinavia. Slaninkova could not be contacted and it could not be determined if she has taken a new position.
