HSBC's Ferdy Khouw, head of investor sales for Asia in Hong Kong, is joining RBC Capital Markets. Officials close to the firm said he will join in the coming weeks in a senior regional sales role, although additional details could not be determined. Andrew Turczyniak, chief executive officer at RBC in Hong Kong, did not return messages by press time.
Prior to his stint at HSBC over the last year, Khouw had a high-profile role at Citigroup building up its fixed income sales business in Singapore, noted market officials. John Ryan, spokesman at HSBC, confirmed Khouw's departure, noting that a replacement has yet to be decided.
