Auto ABS has performed well through the crisis and spreads have been tightening in since the beginning of the year. Last month, in an impressive move, Volkswagen printed a Spanish ABS — despite uncertainty over the European periphery’s sovereign debt. Has VW sparked a trend? Tessa Wilkie reports.
