Lawmakers Propose Levy On Derivatives
Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) and Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) has reintroduced legislation known as the Wall Street Trading and Speculators Tax Act, which would impose a 0.03% tax on trades involving stocks, bonds and all derivatives transactions.
