Morgan Stanley has hired Mal Brooks, managing director in cross-rates sales at UBS in Stamford, as an executive director. He reports to Dennis Scurletis, managing director and head of interest rate sales, according to Mark Lake, spokesman in New York. Brooks could not be reached and Scurletis did not return calls.
Brooks is the most recent in a series of departures from the cross-rates division at UBS (DW, 4/28) and follows Thomas Feda, executive director and marketer, who left to join Bear Stearns (DW, 4/27) and Michael Ice, managing director and head of North American structured sales (DW, 5/4).
At UBS, Brooks reported to Jon Bass, managing director and head of U.S. fixed income sales. Bass did not return calls and Kris Kagel, spokesman in New York, declined comment.
