Banc of America Securities has hired Morgan Stanley's Jonathan Orseck in the newly created position of head of structured equity-linked solutions. The move is part of the firm's effort to build its equity-linked products platform, according to Tara Burke, spokeswoman in New York. In addition, Paige Loh, an equity derivatives structurer at SG Cowen Securities, is joining in a similar role, according to an official. Loh did not return calls.
Orseck reports to Jason Griffith, managing director and head of the global hedge fund investors group in New York, who referred comment to Burke. Melissa Stonberg, spokeswoman at Morgan Stanley, and Jim Galvin, spokesman at SG, did not return calls.
