New York-based hedge fund managerAlpine Analytics Management will likely enter over-the-counter equity derivatives in its soon-to-be-launched market-neutral fund. Seth Blumenthal, partner in New York, said the firm may buy and sell options on individual stocks as well as indices such as the NASDAQ-100. The fund, dubbed the Alpine Analytics Capital Partners fund, would trade the options for speculative purposes, he added.
