UBS has made a senior hire for its equity derivatives desk in Hong Kong to cover corporates. Pascal Vinais joins as an executive director in the equity risk management team. Min Park, managing director and Asian head of equity risk management at UBS, said the slot had been vacant since the middle of last year, when the previous incumbent moved to another position internally. Vinais, who previously had stints at SG Corporate & Investment Banking and Merrill Lynch, before taking time out of the industry in 2004, could not be reached.
