Goldman Sachs is transferring David Ryan, managing director responsible for volatility flow sales, from London to Hong Kong. In Asia, he will co-head pan-Asia equity sales with Tom Morrow. Morrow's focus is cash equities, while Ryan will take on the derivatives sales business. Reached at Goldman in London, Ryan declined comment.
Further details, such as the timing and motivation for the move, could not immediately be determined. An official close to the firm said Ian Mccormick will continue to head hedge fund sales in London, with Jonathan Summers and Peter Seccia, salesmen in the group, taking on greater responsibility when Ryan moves.
