Morgan Stanley has added to its German institutional sales team, hiring Christian Salow as a director from JPMorgan. Salow will cover sales to insurance companies and pension funds in Germany and Austria.
Oliver Chappell, head of German sales in Frankfurt, said Morgan Stanley's German business has been growing over the last couple of years so it is now building up the team. Salow's hire takes the insurance and pension fund sales team to three people. The firm also added Holger Schmidt, a senior insurance and funds marketer, from DZ BANK in Frankfurt last year. Chappell said he has no immediate plans for further hires, but remains open to making further additions to the team.
