Qtel signing seals export of forward starts to Middle East

Qatar Telecom, or Qtel, has signed banks into the first forward start facility arranged for a Middle Eastern borrower today (Tuesday). The deal will extend a $2bn loan maturing in November, and Qtel will be paying a margin over 10 times higher on the new facility than it did on the original transaction. The pricing will only change, however, when the forward start kicks in.
