BTA lenders brace for complex debt negotiations
Lenders to Kazakhstan’s BTA are bracing themselves for complex and fraught negotiations over debt repayments and are concerned about conflicting interests within the group of creditors as well as the sheer number of investors involved. The borrower imposed a standstill on principal payments last week, having received acceleration requests from some of its creditors by reason of default.
