Ireland, Italy regain investors’ trust and drink deep — at a price
Euro zone sovereigns burst back into the syndicated bond market this week as investors unlocked the door they had kept barred for over a month. A successful French auction of 10 year bonds last week helped restore buyers’ confidence, as did a rise in 10 year Bund yields back to about 4%.
