Nordic activity picks up as Ruukki launches and Ahlstrom negotiates

Activity in the Nordic syndicated loan market continued to pick up this week as Finland’s Ruukki, which makes metal products for the construction sector, launched a Eu300m deal via Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Nordea. Bankers also said that Ahlstrom, the Finnish fibres group, has begun negotiations about refinancing its Eu400m loan due in early November.
