Lower Clearing Membership Requirement Proposed
The U.S. Commodity and Futures Trading Commission has proposed lowering the capital requirement for becoming a member of a derivatives clearinghouse to promote “fair and open access to clearing,” according to Gary Gensler, the CFTC chairman.
