U.K. Lacks Power To Act On JPM’s Losses

The U.K.’s Financial Services Authority said it lacks the authority to go after JPMorgan Chase’s over derivatives losses allegedly caused by the bank’s chief investment office because of the office is structured as a branch rather than a subsidiary, and U.K. regulators have limited power over branches of foreign banks.
