UK broker finnCap Group has hired Graham Cooke and Krishan Raval from Royal Bank of Scotland and Livingstone Partners respectively.

The pair will work in finnCap’s debt advisory team.

Cooke was at Royal Bank of Scotland for 30 years, including as national head of debt origination in structured finance, with a focus on the small to medium sized enterprise marketplace.

“Graham’s extensive experience of helping corporate clients to raise debt finance and Krishan’s private equity and corporate track record heighten our understanding of the debt funding requirements of both sponsored and non-sponsored companies,” said Alistair Hay, partner at Cavendish Corporate Finance debt advisory. Cavendish merged with finnCap last year.

“I am very pleased to welcome Graham and Krishan to finnCap Group and look forward to working with them as we continue to enhance the Group’s debt advisory capabilities and become a leading player in mid-market debt,” said Sam Smith, chief executive of finnCap Group.

Established in 2007, finnCap and its subsidiaries have helped raise more than £2.6bn of new capital to support clients, the firm says.
