A couple of weeks ago, Nick Vozianov was planning to meet an unnamed loans colleague for a drink but was stood up because his acquaintance forgot the date of the arrangement.
The Ranger and the ING banker agreed that unless the absent minded friend rearranged the drinks (with a conciliatory bottle of champagne for Vozianov) then he would be named and shamed in the Ranger column.

While last week the Ranger spent a week away from the City, in rainy Devon, other bankers have experienced very different climes.
The Abu Dhabi heat gets Jonathan Macdonald out of bed early in the morning. The NBAD loans honcho was planning to get up at 7am last weekend to play golf with his son before the scorching Arabian sun reached full force.
Meanwhile many bankers are away from the office this month, on yachts and sun loungers, making the most of the summer break. The Ranger and the loans team wishes them all a relaxing break (and secretly hope that it rains on their holidays too)!
