The centrepiece of the dinner will be the GlobalCapital Bond Market Awards — for the best borrowers, banks and bankers in the sovereign, supranational and agency, FIG, corporate and emerging markets sectors.
GlobalCapital’s awards will recognise those issuers that have navigated these turbulent markets — and the banks that have helped them — better than their rivals.
The awards are the result of an extensive market poll, with banks voting for their preferred issuers and borrowers rewarding those banks they consider to have performed the best.
We ask voters to consider not just the largest issuers or banks with the biggest market share but also to reward innovation or boldness, the provision of expert advice in tough times, or the ability to unearth a new pot of investor demand. We have continued with our popular categories for individuals, as well as our awards for innovation and up-and-coming firms, strongly believing that the market is not just about the biggest institutions but also the smaller ones or those that specialise in certain sectors.
