For the uninitiated, NEC Group owns a host of venues in Birmingham. But as Fox News reported earlier this in January, Birmingham is 100% Muslim.
So surely the funding method in question should have been a sukuk or some other form of Islamic financing, rather than a “bespoke unitranche loan”, as stated in the release.
Things were cleared up after Fox issued an on-air apology for saying Birmingham is a Muslim-only city. Apparently, they were mistaken.
Luckily for our readers, Blog would never make such an error.
