JPMorgan has hired Terry Koh, credit derivatives trader at Nikko Citigroup in Tokyo, as a credit derivatives structurer in Hong Kong. Koh was considered a star trader at JPMorgan in Tokyo when he moved to Nikko Citi last year (DW, 5/5/02). Koh could not be reached for comment. Mika Watanabe, spokeswoman at JPMorgan, confirmed that Koh is joining the firm but declined all further comment.
At Nikko Citi, Koh reported to Yoshito Matsuura, Japanese head of credit derivatives. Matsuura did not respond to messages. Takuya Foeda, fixed-income trader at Nikko Citi in Tokyo, said that he has assumed Koh's responsibilities for Japanese default swap trading.
