Credit Suisse's Wen Shiau, director in fixed income and derivative sales in Hong Kong, has joined WestLB in a senior role. He'll be Asian head of sales and structuring and general manager of the Hong Kong branch, according to Stephen Withers, treasurer in Hong Kong. The sales and structuring role was previously handled out of Tokyo by Robert Brennan, head of derivatives, who will shortly assume a new position that is being finalized, noted Withers.
WestLB has been in build-up mode this year to tap the growing potential in China and has hired several sales and trading staff in Hong Kong for the effort (DW, 3/3).
Josephine Lee, spokeswoman at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, said a replacement for Wen will be announced in the next few weeks.
