Goldman Sach's David Voon, head of fixed income and equity structured products and Pan-Asian head of the synthetic products group in Hong Kong, has been named Asia head of the firm's private wealth management group. The move follows the transfer of Stephen Fitzgerald, managing director in Hong Kong and prior head of the private banking group, to London where he assumes a global position within asset management. Voon declined comment beyond confirming the move.

Voon joined the firm in 1993 and subsequently built up the equity derivatives business in Asia and established a cross-asset structuring desk (DW, 6/30/03) as well as making a push into the regional retail space (DW, 7/8/05).

Carson Kentgeter, managing director in Hong Kong, assumes responsibilities for fixed-income structured products, while Roland Tegeder, managing director in Tokyo, will oversee cross-asset-class structured products and Ian Smith, executive director in Hong Kong will run the synthetic products group.
