TNK-BP to repay $600m loan early

Russian oil group TNK-BP will prepay a $600m syndicated loan next month. The borrower told lenders recently about the repayment, which comes two years before the loan, signed last year, matures.

Bankers said TNK was repaying because of the high pricing on the deal. Signed in the middle of last year, when international lenders were particularly nervous about Russian borrowers, it has a margin of 400bp.
