Dexia backs out of London loans syndications

Dexia has dismantled its London loans syndications business, in another sign that the pool of market players is still shrinking as dealflows remain muted.

Colin Holdsworth, who was global head of loans syndications in London, is understood to have left the bank last week, although Dexia would not comment on his departure. Other members of his team, including Andrew Powderly and Peter Stiles, have also left.
